Masonry jobs in Omaha.

Omaha Masonry is hiring masons, bricklayers, and laborers who want to work with a small, owner led crew. Learn the trade or bring the skills you already have.

Good masonry work takes good people, and we are looking for more of them. Omaha Masonry is a local, owner led company doing brick, block, and stone work across the Omaha metro, from homes in Elkhorn and Gretna to commercial restoration projects in the city.

We are a small crew on purpose. That means you work directly with an owner who has spent decades in the trade, and the quality of your work actually gets noticed. If you take pride in doing a job right, this is a good place to do it.

Two ways to join the crew

Experienced

Mason / Bricklayer

You can lay brick and block to a line, read a wall, and run a section of a job without someone checking every course. Repair, rebuild, and restoration experience is a plus, and we will teach you the specialty work like stone veneer and color matching.

Will train

Masonry Laborer / Mason Tender

You keep the masons supplied and the job moving: mixing mortar, stocking block and brick, setting up and breaking down lifts and scaffold, loading the truck at the end of the day. This is how you learn the trade from the ground up.

Who should apply

What we look for

The trade can teach almost anything except showing up. We care more about how you work than about a perfect resume.

Shows up every day

On time, every day, and stays until the work is done.

Wants to learn

New to the trade or years on the trowel, you want to keep getting better.

Lays brick and block

Or wants to learn how, from people who do it every day.

Takes care of things

The tools, the truck, and the jobsite.

Handles the conditions

Outside work, lifts and scaffolding, and Nebraska weather.

Works well with a team

And treats customers and their homes with respect.

The work

What you will work on

No two weeks look the same. One day you might be rebuilding a chimney or replacing spalled brick on a house in the western suburbs. The next you might be on a lift on a large building, cutting out bad brick, replacing stone caps, sealing control joints, and tuckpointing a wall from top to bottom.

See some of the work in our project photos, or the full list of what we do on our services page.

What working here looks like

Jesse runs the company and works the jobs himself. You get a straight answer about the schedule, pay that reflects your skill, and room to grow as your work gets better. The crew is small enough that everyone knows each other, and we want people who make the job easier for the person next to them. Read more about the company.

Questions

Masonry job FAQs

Do I need experience to apply?

No. We hire experienced masons and bricklayers, and we also hire laborers who want to learn the trade. If you are dependable and willing to learn, apply as a laborer and tell us what you have done so far. Plenty of good masons started out mixing mortar and hauling block.

What kind of work does Omaha Masonry do?

Residential repair and commercial restoration across the Omaha metro: stone veneer repair, brick replacement, tuckpointing, chimney rebuilds, retaining walls, and large building restoration jobs. Some days are a single home repair, others are weeks on one commercial project.

What tools do I need?

Masons should bring their own basic hand tools, like trowels, jointers, levels, and a line. Laborers are not expected to show up with a full kit. The larger equipment for each job is provided.

How do I apply?

Fill out the application on this page. It takes a few minutes, a resume is optional, and you can choose whether we reach you by call, text, or email.
